On Saturday, June 1, 2013, Our Lady of Refuge Alumni/ae will hold the First Annual Benefit for the Barden Family [Jackie (Giblin) Barden, her husband Mark, their children James and Natalie] who lost their son and brother, Daniel, in the unspeakable NewTown School Massacre. Parking will be available at Mt. St. Ursula. Please use the entrance on Bedford Park Boulevard between Bainbridge and Marion Avenues

OLR Website Hacked

On April 2, 2013, we received a phone call that our websit'e home page was in Arabic. We were hacked by a group from Libya with the name ToPTeamLibyanaHacker. What a mess; we just got back online on May 21st. We were offline for 7 weeks. We are sorry for the interruption. |
Cardinal's Appeal 2013

The Cardinal's Appeal for 2013 is underway. Our goal is $21,000.00, up from $16,500.00 last year. We raised $23,400.00 in 2012 which led to the increase.

Alumna Class of '80 Loses Son at Newtown Tragedy

We have just received the sad news that Jackie Giblin Barden, Class of 1980, lost her son, Daniel Barden age 7, in the recent shooting at the Newtown Connecticut Elementary School.

Gym Club Resurrected

After a long absence, the Gym Club is back on Friday nights from 6:00pm-9:00pm. It is open to current students in Grades 6-8 and OLR graduates in high school. Attendance averages between 60-80.
